Hello there! My name is Ms. Dizon and I am the current 4th grade teacher here at Saint Edward School. Before joining the wonderful team here in the fall of 2016, I was previously employed with the Bellevue School District for 3 years. During my time there, I taught preschool and also worked with K-5 students in the After-School & Summer Camp Programs.
Several years ago, I graduated from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!!) with my Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Education. I am also just weeks away from officially obtaining my Masters in Teaching degree from City University! Being a graduate student while also being a teacher has been quite the ride!
While it may seem that most of my waking hours are spent in a classroom, I can also often be found in my hometown of Lacey, near our state capital of Olympia (pictured above). I love visiting Lacey to be with my family members and hometown friends after a long week of work. In addition to visiting my hometown, I also enjoy running outdoors, cycling, cooking, baking, and anything having to do with creative expression (crafts, painting, calligraphy, etc.)!
Anything else you are curious to know? Feel free to ask (the 4th graders have probably already asked me, anyways)!
